The Audubon Society's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary offers trails through a varied landscape. One of my favorites leads to this boardwalk which then invites the hiker across mud-flats, low-tide rivulets, marsh grasses, and far-distant low-rise dunes until one finally reaches the beach. Visually - and as a hiker - I love the way this boardwalk zig-zags its way toward the bay.
